Overcoming a speech impediment as a child was perhaps the catalyst for my obsession with finding ways to communicate well. Since leaving Bath University with a degree in politics with economics 15 years ago I have helped brands, businesses, political parties and individuals to communicate and connect with the people who matter to them.

Some of the things I have done include working as press secretary to George Osborne and Boris Johnson as well as advising David Cameron. Among others I have built crisis communication plans for an American oil and gas company, Commonwealth countries, and fast food restaurants in the Middle East. I have coached CEOs on speech-making and written communication strategies for their businesses. I prepared President Uhuru Kenyatta for Kenya’s first ever live TV debates ahead of their elections in 2013, briefed a US presidential candidate as part of their high-profile trip to the UK and advised the successful NO to AV referendum campaign in the UK.

I love training and mentoring people and am lucky that my work has taken me on projects all over Europe, the United States, Africa and the Middle East. I have worked for two of the largest communications agencies in the world but now prefer to offer a personal service to my clients.

I’m a Member of the Chartered Institute of Pubic Relations, a Member of the Public Relations Consultants Association, a Certified Practitioner of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, an Associate Member of the Centre for Policy Studies, a Friend of the Royal Academy, an adviser to social enterprise Create Streets, and a mentor for True Start. I love travelling to new places as well as country walks with my wife Louise and our dog Mabel.

I'm a keen football and cricket fan, recently learnt to swim (properly) and often spend my weekends riding my bike with friends. This has seen me tackle some of the largest mountains that feature in the Tour de France as well as riding in Belgium, Holland, Italy, Switzerland and Spain.
